  13. Anyone who is interested in the multiple view update / dependency problem
  14. should check out the article "A Structure For Efficient Update, Incremental
  15. Redisplay and Undo in Graphical Editors" in IEEE Software - Practice and
  16. Experience, Vol. 20(2) 109-132 (February 1990).  As the title implies it also
  17. has a mechanism for (virtually) transparent multi-level undo.  The actual data
  18. structures the article suggests are too slow for my use (and probably for most
  19. applications) but I found the article to be a good mind stimulator.

  21. Most people programming the Mac never read IEEE or ACM publications and are the
  22. poorer for it.  Subscribe to everything you can get your hands on.  Apart from
  23. the great articles, they keep your mind active, and help stop your focus
  24. narrowing.
